Vaadin Codecamp

University of Turku in collaboration with IT Mill Ltd. will offer a codecamp focusing on Rich Internet Applications (RIA) and on the Vaadin web application framework. During the camp, students are familiarized with a modern IDE, the architecture of RIA applications and to the Vaadin framework.

The camp will be held in August 23–27th in ICT-building.

A student can credit the course Special Course in Software Engineering: Rich Internet Applications in Vaadin Platform or corresponding course with the camp. The student can take the course as 3 ECTS or 5 ECTS. In a shorter course, only participation in the intensive week is required. In addition to the participation of the intensive week, also a final report is needed for passing 5 ECTS course.

Codecamp is a one-week intensive course. The first day contains lectures and hand-on tutorials. The next three days contain a code camp where the participants work intensively as groups in their own projects, with the assistance of experts in the development tools. The projects are demonstrated and evaluated during the last day of the course.
